I thought it was my OC at first, but it seems to happen no matter what I do. The other has a gtx 1070 and an i5 4690k overclocking to 4.7. Unigine seems to have updated their binaries thus changed hashes. One system has a gtx 1080 and an i7 4790k overclocked to 4.7. I am still getting lower scores than most people, I am pretty sure.Pts/unigine-heaven-1.6.5 Mon, 15:13:21 GMT Hey bro, I just benchmarked my GPU again with stock settings. One of the reasons why you should back both the speed of the Gpu and memory of the card down slightly.ĭon`t always think just because you increase the gpu clock speed and the memory speed of a graphics card it will improve or add extra frame per second. This can throw out the timing between the gpu and the memory of the graphics card, causing a lower than expected frame rate result.īack the over clock of the Gpu and the memory speed of the card and test again.Īs said the harder you over clock a graphics card the more hotter it will get, and the Gpu on the card will thermal throttle.Īgain causing a negative effect on the final FPS results. There is such a thing where when you over clock a graphics card it has a negative effect on how well the card performs.īy over clocking a graphics card you are asking the Gpu and the memory of the card to work at a higher frequency. I'll run the test again and show you the scores I get again, if need be. Because I am pretty certain I turned AA off. Which scores are you talking about? Just to make sure. The one with the high score does not have anti-aliasing enabled. From what Ive seen using Unigine it calculates it based off of the three scores it takes, average FPS, min FPS, and max FPS. If POWER was an issue then it might crash but the frequency would not stay high.Ģ) The SETTINGS are not the same. If temperature was an issue, the frequency would drop. Unigine says 2138 MHz is my highest boost clock while Afterburner and GPU-Z said my core clock started out at 2126 MHz and then towards the middle dropped to 2101 MHz. Thus, you are getting the proper processing. Cause that would be a pain to upgrade.ġ) Your GPU processes code at the frequency that it's running at (at 1000MHz it processes at exactly HALF of what it does at 2000MHz for the same GPU). I really do hope that it is not my PSUs fault. My core clock sat at a very constant 1999 MHz, and my memory clock sat at a consistent 4104 MHz, I believe. Maybe try reinstalling driver or install new one if/when avail, but throttle would be my primary suspect. Though not sure atm if they already support GTX-1070. Have you checked whether the GPU is not hitting throttle? GPU-Z utility can show you all the temps, frequencies, loads etc. I am hoping you guys can shine light on this situation, since I am sure you are more knowledgeable on this than I am. I used the same settings that the website used in the benchmark. I just tested my GPU again in Unigine Valley and got a REALLY low score compared to the one I saw on a website. Monitor - Samsung SyncMaster S24B300 1080p Throughout the benchmark, I have been noticing stuttering too. Keep in mind, I OC'ed my 1070 when I benchmarked this. Compared to everyone else, I have very low scores even when OCing my GTX 1070 FE to 2000 MHz core clock.
